The BPL X-Rad 100 is a high-powered X-ray machine that is user-friendly and packed with features. It uses a state-of-the-art microcontroller to control various functions, is equipped with an alphanumeric LCD display, and has user-configurable anatomical programming. 155 anatomical programs are present with pre-set keys for instant selection, and the machine also has a self-diagnostic program. The X-ray counter is password-protected, and the machine has memory to retain the last selected factors. The machine can be set to 40-100 kVp in steps of 2 kVp only at 100mA, 0.4-4.0 sec in steps of 0.1 sec, and 1-6 pulses selectable. The user can also select the mAs at 35, 50, 70, 85, 100, or 115. The kVp and mAs readouts are on the display. The machine uses a high-frequency inverter generator and has a high power rating of 100kW.
